After careers in the army, the entertainment world and education, I’m still active in music, conducting Windjammers, Canada’s premier “pops” wind ensemble, and playing alto sax and leading Reflections, an 8-piece jazz/swing group. Windjammers has just released its first CD called “Swingphonic” with arrangements by Sammy Nestico. I’m also and arts and entertainment writer for The Record in Kitchener, a Torstar newspaper. I’ve published one novel, Debut for a Spy, and another is on the way called Twice Upon a Time. I’ve become producer/director of the Ontario International Tattoo which had its first outing in June, 2000, and is expanding for 2001. I’m married for the second time to Gabriella (Ernst) from Montreal, and we have one son, George, who is 21. I have three other sons with my first wife, Phyllis (MacGowan) who was from Hampton, N.B. Altogether there are 8 grandchildren

16 Dec 2000

We are retired and living in an apartment in Halifax.  Have lived right across Canada and back since 1965, when Jack and I combined our two families.  The youngest is now 42 and the eldest is 55 and a grandmother, which makes us great grandparents of two and grandparents of 14. Our life has slowed down quite a bit in the last few years. I enjoyed the 50th reunion, so very much.  Let me know when the next one is planned. Merry Christmas and a very Happy 2001!
