After graduating MHS in 1961, I spent 5 years training as a Chartered Accountant, finishing up in Toronto in 1966 with Woods, Gordon. Emigrated to US in 1969, living in Houston and Oklahoma City. I now own a property management company in OKC. The MHS building still exudes the solid image that a fine old bastion of education should. I fondly recall the championship years of schoolboy badminton, and even Ernie Bradley's Trig classes.
In 2007, I married my childhood sweetheart, Judy Smith (Class of 1960). We now split our lives between Riverview and Oklahoma City. Retired in 2009.

I've been out of touch with my roots for more than 30 years. Not sure if it is possible, but I would dearly lovely to reconnect with the world I came from. Can't even remember my class year, but think it was about 61-62. Have been down many roads since I left school, as a journalist and in law enforcement. It is time to hopefully reconnect with reality.
Thanks for listening,

After attending Teachers' College in Fredericton and Gordon College in Wenham, Mass. I taught school in N.B. for thirty-four years. I was married to John MacPherson(also class of 1961). We had two children, Andrew (now a teacher at M.H.S.) and Heather (an engineer with Imperial Oil). John passed away in July, 2000. I am now married to Howard Parlee (class of 1955). Music has been a huge part of my life and I have been involved in playing in bands, doing musicals in both church and school, directing choirs and serving as church organist. Since retiring from teaching in 1996 I decided to learn to play my father's fiddle. I now am part of the Greater Moncton Fiddlers Association and actually lead a group called Fiddlin' Friends. Life is good. I am healthy and have a great community of friends and family. I look forward with eagerness to seeing many of the class if 1961 in August.

Am enjoying wearing a number of hats at Howard University, in Washington, DC, in my 7th year here. My title is Associate Vice Provost for Research, I oversee our $75 million external grants portfolio; also direct our Graduate School's international programs which take me to many countries around the world, and I am also Professor of Computer Science.
I've always tried to diversify my interests, including running for the House of Commons and the Legislature, and teaching at Universite de Moncton in the late 70s and early 80s.
Hope to attend the reunion next summer.
If anyone wants to track some of my adventures, I have a personal website at:

Currently teaching English in universities here in Japan for the last 15 years. No, I still don't speak the language, it just goes in one ear and out the other but I do manage--something like my bad French! Lived in New York, got my Masters and then went on to get on Broadway ( acting and as stage mangager) as well as playing extras in many films, washing a lot of dishes, serving a lot of drinks, and anything else to make a buck to pay for all the acting, voice, dance lessons, etc., necessary to make it! Now, in Japan I am mainly a teacher but have acted on TV ( took till 4:00am to learn 5 lines!) been in some commercials, had an art exhibit, and am now going to be published in a university journal. No, I never married but had my chances. Now I have two men in my life who are in their 40's and keep me wonderfully happy. ( Not at the same time! but all is honest in that they know each other--scheduling scheduling scheduling!) Will be going to Thailand for vacation at the end of the school year which is end of January, beginning again in March. Have been all over South East Asia with Thailand my favorite country.
