After leaving the halls of MHS I received degrees in science and education from Mt Allison and headed to St. George for 2 years teaching high school, got married, moved to Sackville, continued teaching and began raising a family which now includes 4 children, the youngest is 9 and the oldest 18. Over the last 20 some years I have been involved in coaching football and basketball, which has enabled me to keep in touch with former teachers and classmates and more recently getting to know their children.

Certainly have had lots of adventures since MHS days! Divorced, nil children. Joined Air Canada and had a progressive management career in Montreal (HDQ) and Eastern Canada. Downsizing in 2003 found me back in Halifax taking care of elderly parents where I am now settled and working with Delta Hotels, playing golf & tennis and doing a lot of charity work with the Canadian Progress Club. Would love to hear from you!

Nice to hear about this site from Flash Duncan. I’ve lost touch with everyone from MHS except Pat, although my nephew, Dennis Hopper played on the freshman Purple Knight football team this fall! After Mount Allison (Biology), I graduated with a MSc in Biochemistry from Memorial in Newfoundland, and a MD from Dalhousie U in ‘83. I then interned in Victoria, BC and studied Urologic Surgery at the University of Ottawa. After a great 4 years in partnership with Bruce Palmer in the Annapolis Valley, we decided to move to the USA in 1994. My best friend, and travelling companion for the past 26 years is Pat (Hatfield) from Amherst ... a fellow Allisonian. We have 3 boys, ages 17,15 and 11. We live about 75 minutes northwest of Minneapolis and keep busy with hockey, music, soccer, etc. It would be a pleasant surprise to hear from someone from a chapter of my life that seems so long ago but holds so many great memories!

When I graduated from MHS I joined the forces in 1973 a year after my father died.  I traveled to a lot of places and saw a lot of country.  I've done tours in Germany and Ismailia.  I was stationed in Gagetown for 5 years and Borden for five years.  I met my wife in Calgary when I was stationed there in 74.  We got married in 76.  We have 2 children.  My daughter Erin is 22 and my son Jeremy is 18.  We've been living in Calgary for the past 12 years and have no plans to move unless my wife Diana can get a job in Australia because I surely want to go there. Hope to hear from someone that I remember.

After attending Queen Elizabeth H.S. in Halifax in 1973, I lived in London England for a year. Back in Canada, I moved west to Calgary (going back to my roots since Edmonton is my home town) and I've been here ever since. I worked in Trinidad for a year and married a lady from Guyana I met while I was there. We have two little ones, Graeme is 8 and Eliza is 6, and they pretty much fill my spare time. Good to see some of your names on the list and hear about your successful lives.

Hi again,

My new news is…

I have rented out my house. Now live rent free in Comox B.C. And work quite regularly as a carpenter.  Getting to know the area better. Nice to go shopping without taking a ferry to the mall etc.  Just got cable and high speed internet to my isolated house at great expense; but am hooked up to the outside world in lots of ways now.  Drop me a line and say HI. We grads won't ever see our class of 72 photo in the halls at school or have reunions as our elected exec. is probably no more; and it was their duty as I seem to remember being told to organize such stuff.  Mail in copies of your grad pic. to the school to hold onto till we get them all and frame up our old class of 72.

Sound like a plan?

What a surprise to hear of this page! I'm now married with a daughter(9). I'm currently a project manager with a software learning module project at the Dept. of Forestry, UNB. I think it's the only academic building on the campus I'd never been in. Can it really be 26 years in June?

Went on to UNB as planned - worked for NBTel for 10 years. Married a Trimble boy and have sons Wally (18) and Ben (16) and daughter Maggie (14). Have been volunteering in the schools since the first one started - guess I should have been a "real" teacher!  We have lived in Riverview for 20 years now and all the kids will go to RHS, saving the age-old rivalry of which school in Moncton is better...we all know it's still Moncton High!
