Hey Guys, well I'm back in Canada for good. Spent the last two winters over in Sweden playing hockey. Played for the Lidkoping Red Roosters of the Div III league. It's great to be back in Moncton. Finally have a career now, working as a letter carrier for Canada Post, just started in August of this year. Feel free to drop me a line at my e-mail or hi5.
6 Mar 2005
Guess what!?! I’m still at Mount Allison University with only a class or two, and I've narrowed my degree down to a Bachelor of Music and a Minor in Computer Science.
I'm out of cadets for the moment, but will eventually return to that in the future. I'm currently working at Chapters in the receiving area and enjoying it. I know most of the store and fit in anywhere... but for now receiving is my favourite area. I'm singing with the Moncton Barbershop Chorus, The First United Baptist Church, play handbells, and play the drum kit for our new service. I'm a busy body, but there we go, that's the way of things.
I’d love to hear from all you out there, to see how you’re doing. Drop me a line at schmorgis_borgis@hotmail.com either email or msn messenger, or email me at arbrgs@mta.ca.

Hey Grads! It's hard to believe it's been 5 years since we've all been together. I spent my first year living in Belgium and scouting out Europe! What a great growing experience. I returned and studied Travel Tourism/Hotel Restaurant at NBCC St-Andrews. Later I went to Atlantic Baptist University where I graduated with a Christian Foundations Certificate. My main focus was languages, linguistics, and Religious Studies. I did a Cross-Cultural Internship program where I spent the month of May 2001 in Egypt studying the cultural, learning Arabic, and working in an orphanage. It was awesome! I am currently working for The Co-operators Insurance here in Moncton and am loving my job. My name will soon be changing to Davey as I will be marrying my wrestling bud and best friend Chris this December 14, 2002. Please drop me a line if you're ever in Moncton, I'd love to hear from any of you and all your great stories!

Wow, what memories came back while reading this site. I guess I'll add my bit:
I graduated from Atlantic Baptist University in 2001 with a History Honours B.A. and went on to Queen's U to do a M.A. in history. I'm now living in Toronto, working & studying German. "Guten Tag" to you all :) This fall I'll be teaching my first course at the university level - scary but exciting!
It's so cool to see that many of us are actually doing what we always wanted to pursue. Michelle Girouard and Martha Farrell are acting, Amy McNair is an OT and Angelina has married a boy from the wrestling team!
Please feel free to email me anytime.

Well hello everyone,
It has been a while since I last gave news. After six years of being away from this great country, I am finally back. I am currently studying Law at the University of Western Ontario in London. I'm having a great time and many new experiences. Just as much as I was having a great time at MHS. I will be in Moncton during this Christmas break (from the Dec. 24th to Jan. 6th), and I would love to hear from you or meet up with you. It would be such a pleasure for me to see how you are doing. Even if you won't be in Moncton at that time, just give some news.
Florence :)

Remember what our 3-level classes were like? Well, things are much the same. I bought a house here in Moncton a year ago and love the freedom but not the bills. Still single and looking but I've met some fantastic people along the way.
Feel free to email me and we'll all see each other soon! Tem year reunion is only a year and a half away.

I bet you all thought that you finally got rid of me. Well sorry to burst your bubble. Not much has changed, I am still a weirdo.
Just a friendly warning to all the faculty thinking of retiring, maybe you should do it before the begining of the 2015 school year...if you think i was a handfull wait until you meet my son.
His name is Benji Rainbow Frew, Born on feb 14, 2001. I named him after a good friend you may remember, Mike Benjamin.
Since school I did alot of travelling, I lived in Alberta for a few years, got married and divorced. now I am finding real love at 25 (finally). I want to thank Mrs. Sheridon-Weldon, Kelly Therien is taking great care of me, and for the record I did not corrupt her back in high school.
I hope all my old friends are doing well. And I hope all you shallow people who never gave me the time of day (you know who you are) woke up and got a taste of reality, welcome to the real world.
For future reference, please disregard the last 2 lines of my grad write up, a momentary lapse of reason.
Hey alumni of 97. Just relaxing up here in Fredericton taking a Computer Science degree here at UNB. Having a blast reading what everyone is up to. Well good luck with everything and have a good one.

Hey,
Well, hmmm, if you live in Moncton you can normally keep up to date on what's happening in my life by tuning into the C103 Breakfast Club with Ernie, Lisa and Brock.
I graduated from the Broadcast Journalism program at Loyalist College in 99'. I was promoted to morning news reader just this past fall and I've been waking up at 3:45am ever since (A shock to anyone who's taught me first period.)
I'm still doing volunteer work at the cable station. I produced and directed the "Songwriter's Circle" and I'm looking to produce two new shows next season.
Melanie Cassidy and I have set our wedding date. (August 14th) She's currently studying for her bar exams and preparing for her first 10km race.

29 July 2004
Hi everyone!
Sounds like everyone has some great things going on in their lives and we've done some pretty great things as a class. Just an update on me!
I'm a teacher now. I finished my degree in Dec 2003 after an internship at "the school down the road" which I really enjoyed (even though it wasn't MHS). I supply taught for the next semester with about 95% of my days at Trimble. I loved it. I worked with some great teachers and with a lot of the teachers who I had when I was a student at Queen E. It was really hard to call them by their first names!
I'm leaving on August 24th for a year to live and teach in England. I will be living in Bexley (about a half hour outside London on the Greater London/Kent border). I'm very excited; I am teaching Math/Science at an all-boys Sports College so it shall be interesting. I'm really looking forward to living the life in London and exploring all of Europe. I figure I should do it now while I'm young and single and loving life. Who knows, maybe I'll meet a good looking Englishman...
Good luck to everyone (although it doesn't really look like we need it) and if you are heading to England, send me an email!
3 Oct 2001
Working in the hospitality industry. Traveling quite a bit ! This summer alone I was in Bermuda, Toronto, Niagara, Montreal, and Ottawa. Enjoying life! Working on the side doing makeup, an art I found after living in Halifax. Hope to go somewhere with my new found hobby. However...I will never give up on art! I still work on things like painting, drawing and claywork (thank you for introducing me to pottery Mr. Kealy!). I hope all of you are doing well, and hope that many of your hopes and dreams are coming true! It’s so hard to believe it’s already been 4 years! That’s soooooooo scary!
All the best,
Melanie

Feel free to drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you.

2 June 2003
It was nostalgia that caused me to find this site!!! Hoorah for being far from home!
So I graduated from Dalhousie in 2001 with a pretty useless degree in History and English, which I am truly grateful for however!
To avoid the "real world" after graduation, I jumped on the teaching English in a foreign country ban wagon and moved to Taiwan, where I lived for a year. I then came home and after reacquainting myself with my home and native land for the summer, and a bit too much of the Canadian winter, I hastily packed up my things and moved to Thailand with a boy I had just met.
That was 3ish months ago and well, I work about 2 hours a day and live an hour away from Bangkok! So life's good!!
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the game of life!

Hi all,
It's always great to come here and read about what our class is up to. We always knew how amazingly talented we were, and now to see what everyone is up to is proof of that.
I'm currently a manager in the operations side of RBC Royal Bank in the head office here in Toronto. Here I get to work closely with three of my favourite things: people, technology, and money. ;)
I also recently bought my first house (albeit a condo) and I consider that a huge accomplishment, considering the sky-high price of ownership here.
I also spend a lot of my time hanging out with Abbie Hudson and Melani Flanagan and around town have bumped into Julia Haylock and Michelle Girouard.
Hello to all of the class of '97, and feel free to email anytime!
15 July 2002
Just graduated from Dal and am looking for a job!
May 25, 2009
I am still in Fredericton, not intentionally, but simply due to circumstances. I am working at a local high school as a Resource teacher.
I have settled here (at least, for now) with my family - including my daughter, Isabel, who was born in August 2007.
Life keeps me on my toes and I am loving it. I hope you are all happy :)

Hi All
Long time.... A few years after graduation I attended Mount Allison and received a degree in Music in classical guitar. I have moved across Canada a couple of times working in both Toronto and Vancouver as either a fundraiser or fundraising consultant for groups like Pollution Probe- The National Ballet of Canada- Greenpeace and Amnesty International. I presently work for Oxfam Canada helping raise funds to fight injustice and poverty in developing countries and no I don't have a cape, tights or leap over tall buildings. But I really like the fact that I can make a difference for someone else in the world. I have recently bought a condo in downtown Toronto, houses are out of the question. Sorry, I missed the reunion maybe the next one. Cheers Dave Lavoie
5 Dec 2004
Well, I finished two years in Japan, and decided to travel some more. I am now in China after a bit of a break in Thailand and back in Canada. I am teaching at a university now, which is strange. Hoping to travel around and learn even more languages. Hope everyone is doing well!
6 Oct 2004
Just a little update, I've been married for three years in January. I have a wonderful daughter that is now two and keeps my life busy. I'm glad to hear everyone is happy. Keep in touch.
28 Sep 2004
If I can say one thing about my time at Moncton High, it would be that I wasted it. I should have been more active in the affairs of the school, and I should of contributed. If I could pass on one message to the future classes, it would be to get involved, sports, clubs, events, everything. To do otherwise, you will regret what should of been one of the best times in your life
8 Feb 2005
It has been awhile since I updated this page, so I figured that it was about time to do so. It is a new year, with new challenges and a new job, so that would be a good place to start.
I am still with McCain Foods Canada. I have recently been promoted to the level of Production Shift Supervisor. That was a surprising event to say the least. Most new people like myself don't make that level until their 3rd or 4th year, but 1 and 1/2 years in, and here I am. I was transferred out of Florenceville, and now hang my hat in Grand Falls NB. It is just an hour up the road, but it is a change of scenery and a change of pace.
It was a challenging year past. I was all ready to propose to the 'girl of my dreams', and then she had a sudden change of heart, so...not too much a person can do about that. At any rate, 2005 is shaping u p to be a year of opportunities, trials and tribulations.
I hope that all of you are doing well. It will be interesting to see everyone again at the 10 year reunion (those who will show up) I hope that your road in life has thus far lead you in the right direction, and feel free to drop me a line any time, and maybe a little trip down memory lane will be the order of the day.
Aaron MacIsaac
10 Dec 2004
Hi All! Great to read about how well everyone is doing. I just moved back to Moncton from Ottawa a few months ago where I was working for the feds for three years. I'm now working with MapleLeaf Foods doing process improvement. I got married in 2003 to Tim Calvert (Class 96') and we've now bought the family "homestead" which needs quite a bit of work. I'm still riding horses and I've got two dogs - no kids yet! Can't wait to see everyone!

Never even thought to check for an alumni site for MHS until today. Typical of me to procrastinate like that. Oh well, registered now, anyway.
Graduated from a 2-year Computer Engineering course at the NBCC in Moncton. Currently working in tech. support desk for Aliant. Actually getting married one week from today to somebody from our graduating class (you'll have to come to the reunion or send me an email if you want to know who).
Looking forward to seeing everybody again next year (wow, time flies). Send me an email if you want to get in touch.
It's nice to be able to read up, and see what everyone is up to. I've been been in Vancouver for 5 years now. Began my studies in Chinese Medicine, but took a little break to pursue some personal goals. I'm currently working with children and adults with special needs. The work itself is challenging, however so very rewarding and humbling. On my "off" time, I've taken up Capoeira (a Afro-Brazilian art-form) and have been teaching under my Master for the last few years. I've been working at, and practicing Bikram's Yoga as well. So, I guess I've updated you all. Hope to be home soon for a visit. I miss little Moncton!
June 10 2002
Working for Vibe. Great seeing Chris Killam, Kate Lavender again. Over the past 3 years I've assisted in the organization of Moncton's Gay Pride Celebrations. Thank you to all MHS alumni who supported us these past years.

Well, I'm currently teaching high school in Winnipeg. It was definitely a big/crazy decision to move out here but it's fun. I finished my degree at Queen's and I hope to only stay here for one more year before heading back east. Whether that is the Maritimes or Ontario I have no idea.
It's great to read about what everyone is doing.
Take care,
Nessa

Thinking of pursuing Naturopathy in the future, but after 5 years of post-secondary, and many travels, it's time to settle down for a few.

I worked in Saint John for 2 years and am now working in Fredericton for 1 year. Reason I am here is cause of my fiancée being in school at STU taking Psychology and English. Altho 1997 wasn't my graduating year due to circumstances, i did grow up with 3/4 of the graduates, and its nice to hear that everyone is doing so well. I can't get over how many people got married.
Once I left school I went to college in Ontario to become a computer geek by trade, and moved to Ottawa. When I returned to Moncton I entered a wonderful relationship, and altho we're not married yet, my partner and I have been together for almost 6 years.
I think my favourite vivid memory of HS (mostly through repetition) was holding a seat for the loverly Nat Davidson every morning on the bus.
Well, I graduated from MTA and went to Australia. Then, I substitute taught for a couple of years and realized I wanted to be a teacher. So now I am at ABU doing my Education degree and playing basketball there for the past two years. So things are going pretty well and I hope to be teaching and travelling soon. Hope you all are doing well, and drop me a line if you get a chance. Sarah

Well, I've just finished 3 of 4 years of an honours degree in Sociology at Trent University in Peterborough, ON. - one more year to go, I am working for the TCSA at Trent as the Advertising and Promotions Coordinator.. it's commission based! Wish me luck! I hope everyone is enjoying their journey down which ever path life has dragged you!
Update as of 29 May 2001
Two months to go.. Hard to believe that I am almost finished my Honours degree.. But I can't wait to be done. I'll be graduating from Trent University in June 2001 with a degree in Sociology and no clear direction, except for south. I am planning on moving to Australia (outside of Brisbane) in this coming September.
Grads of '97, all the best - I don't want to hear any more of these settleing down stories.. we are too young and there is too much of that world to see first.. enjoy it!!
I am currently working in Kentville, NS as an orthoptist but I am moving to Hartford, Connecticut in July for a long while! Going to my 5-year reunion at Mt.A this summer which only means that our 10-year is coming up very soon! Yikes, are we getting old? Hope everyone is well!
