As you can see from my web site I am now in the landscaping business. Loving every minute!!! Teaching wasn't fun any more.
I am currently retired from teaching at MHS where I spent 28 wonderful years teaching English. I am still living in Moncton and enjoying my golden years.

I have been very busy doing things around the house that I had to do on weekends. I'm also doing consultation work for the Dept. of Education in Testing and also for the Dept. of Training and Employment Services in the field of Testing for Second Language Proficiency. I have to undergo the evaluation myself to be an accredited Evaluator of Language. I sure hope I pass the test. It would look really bad for me if I didn't. My health is A-One. I just adore getting later in the morning, go for a one-hour walk after breakfast and then read the paper and do my work around the house. Life is surely grand being retired.

Although I still work out of Moncton High, since February of 2001 I have been working for the eLearning Unit of the Department of Education. I develop online high school courses and teach them to students all over the province via the Internet. I currently teach Canadian Geography 120, Physical Geography 110, Modern History 111 and Modern History 113 online.
Graduated from UNB with a Bachelor of Education in 1995 and started teaching Gr.9 French Immersion at MHS! After 3 years of teaching, I took a leave of absence and went to ITI to study Applied IT. I'm currently working for Ciber, Inc. in sunny southern California as an Oracle Consultant. Loving the weather and life out here...

Since my last entry in 2001 I have travelled doing software training and also did software technical support from home via telephone and the internet for Chancery Software of Vancouver. Approximately 2 years ago I decided that after 40 years of working I would really retire. I bought a small sailboat and learned how to sail at the advanced age of 60. Well, I call it sailing anyway and I haven't crashed or sunk yet. I sold our house of 33 years after deciding that owning a property while trying to travel and living at the cottage in the summer was not the thing to do; so now I am a sophisticated city dweller and live in a beautiful new apartment building in Moncton. As such my email address has changed and is now kmurphy44@rogers.com .
So I hope all who read this are well and happy. Send an email to say hello.
Cheers !
