James Elmer MacKinnon

Pilot Officer James Elmer Mackinnon, RAF, was the pilot and sole crewman aboard a Hudson which failed to return from an anti-submarine patrol off the coast of England. He disappeared, probably into the sea, July 4, 1940. The 21 year old airman was the son of Neil Elmer and Ethel Rose MacKinnon of Moncton. He is remembered on the Runnymede Memorial in Surrey, England.
