Flying Officer Fred J. Nickerson was the son of Fred F. and Grace S.
Nickerson of Moncton. He was on an operation to bomb Hanover when his aircraft
disappeared January 6, 1945. He is remembered on the Runnymede Memorial
in Surrey, England. The 25-year-old Nickerson was a member of 431 Iroquois
Squadron RCAF.
